Twatter Rankings: Week 9

Coffee Time
by Carl Coffee

1. El Diablos   (16-6, Pow#R: 19.7)
Blos are in control for homefield advantage in the playoffs. Their only focus now should be getting Wags two more games.
2. Whiteford Wicked Aces   (10-6, Pow#R: 11.1)
Crozier is now gone for the season, but don't worry yet. They have all home games left, they are still the Ringler favs.
3. Flying Squirrels   (13-9, Pow#R: 6.6)
The Squeaks have the best 1-2 punch on the mound that no one is talking about. Dobes McGobes and Brandon D FTW.
4. Belgian Wiffles   (13-9, Pow#R: 7.1)
Belgian really needed to sweep the Wolfpack over the weekend to stay in control of that top wildcard spot/#3 seed.
5. Westside Warriors   (9-5, Pow#R: 10.7)  1
The Warriors will play their second 6 game week, but this time it's without Bortmas. If they go 3-3, Shore should be happy.
6. King Friday   (8-10, Pow#R: -3.9)  2
Last week they played 2 must win games, and this week they play 2 must win games. Fun team to watch, they don't quit.
7. Oakland County Onanism   (10-8, Pow#R: 4.6)
The forgotten team returns to action this week as they travel to Detroit and Lincoln Park. Going just 3-1 would be huge.
8. Holy Balls   (8-12, Pow#R: -7.4)  3
Today is the trade deadline and it doesn't look like they will be sellers. Will need to finish ~7-1 to have a chance.
9. Wolfpack   (7-15, Pow#R: -16.9)
The Pack played Belgian tough all four games this season. Where is that fight against other teams?
10. Islanders   (2-16, Pow#R: -28.0)
The Black and White Buccaneers finish off their home games this week vs OCO and Warriors. I hope they can steal one game.
What is Pow#R?
The power number rating (Pow#R) is a mathematical formula using a team's weighted wins (wW) -- Σ(# of wins vs. opponent * (1 + opponents wining %)] --, weighted losses (wL) -- Σ(# of losses vs. opponent * (2 - opponents winning %) --, record over the last five (L5) games, and run differential (DIFF) divided by games played (GP). The equation looks like this:    Pow#R = (wW - wL) + (L5) + (DIFF/GP)
