Twatter Rankings: Week 2

Coffee Time
by Carl Coffee

1. Flying Squirrels   (4-0, Pow#R: 11.0)  2
I wonder if Austin and the Aces are worried about these guys? Regardless, the Squeaks are off to a hot start.
2. El Diablos   (3-1, Pow#R: 9.1)  1
It's a safe bet that they aren't a fan of the 55' fence at King's Castle. Huge Southgate battle this weekend vs. Belgian.
3. Whiteford Wicked Aces   (0-0), Pow#R: N/A)  1
The champs travel to Oakland Co. this weekend with all three of their stud pitchers to play two of their Ringler foes.
4. King Friday   (2-2, Pow#R: 1.3)
KF was upset with their Week 1 split, but thrilled with their Week 2 split. The Constanti injury hurts, he was pitching well.
5. Belgian Wiffles   (3-3, Pow#R: 0.8)  2
N. Braden found his rhythm again and teamed with Farkas gives them a dangerous 1-2. They need to start hitting tho.
6. Oakland County Onanism   (2-2, Pow#R: 3.0)  4
Kiefer has some athletes who mercied the Islanders twice and played the Squirrels close. Should be a wildcard contender.
7. Wolfpack   (3-3, Pow#R: -3.6)  2
A very disrespectful ranking for a .500 team 6 games in. They have a favorable schedule the next 4 weeks then it gets tough.
8. Westside Warriors   (0-0, Pow#R: N/A)  2
I am excited to see Evan Bortmas pitch again on a regular basis. He has struggled from 48' in the past though.
9. Holy Balls   (0-4, Pow#R: -11.1)
Two heartbreaking extra inning losses for the Purple Gang. Dennis Pearson is batting .045 with zero homers. #WhatThe
10. Islanders   (1-3, Pow#R: -7.5)  2
Yes, I know there is an 0-4 team, but Will Mundel and the Islanders have been mercied three times this season. #notgood
What is Pow#R?
The power number rating (Pow#R) is a mathematical formula using a team's weighted wins (wW) -- Σ(# of wins vs. opponent * (1 + opponents wining %)] --, weighted losses (wL) -- Σ(# of losses vs. opponent * (2 - opponents winning %) --, record over the last five (L5) games, and run differential (DIFF) divided by games played (GP). The equation looks like this:    Pow#R = (wW - wL) + (L5) + (DIFF/GP)
