Twatter Rankings: Week 3

Coffee Time
by Carl Coffee

1. Whiteford Wicked Aces   (3-1, Pow#R: 8.4)  2
The Aces almost seem to be a better hitting team even without Bortmas. That is scary news for the rest of the league.
2. Flying Squirrels   (4-0, Pow#R: 11.3)  1
Huge 4 games at home for the Squeaks. If they remain undefeated after those, then they get the #1 spot back.
3. El Diablos   (4-2, Pow#R: 7.3)  1
Chandler seems discouraged early in the season but he is still in 1st place in the Garcia. Doesn’t make sense.
4. Oakland County Onanism   (5-3, Pow#R: 5.7)  2
A 3-1 homestand for the Splooge Kings puts them in great position early in the season. 4 tough home games this week.
5. Belgian Wiffles   (4-4, Pow#R: 0.8)
BW continues its .500 quest with a nice split vs. Diablos. Farkas has quickly become one of the elite in the league.
6. Westside Warriors   (2-2, Pow#R: 0.8)  2
They looked like a different team vs. the Aces compared to vs. King Friday. The Aces will do that to you though.
7. Wolfpack   (3-3, Pow#R: -3.4)
They still need to play their week 3 games vs. the Islanders, but are having trouble scheduling. Could easily become 5-3.
8. King Friday   (2-6, Pow#R: -9.8)  4
The Constanti injury combined with non-consistent role players is a tough task for Castle. At least Nicco is back.
9. Holy Balls   (1-5, Pow#R: -9.6)
Even at 1-5, they are only -3 in RS/RA. They are just a few breaks away from being a 5-1 team.
10. Islanders   (2-4, Pow#R: -8.4)
They’ll have Murtha back going forward, but still lack a true ace. Linebrink is looking much improved early on.
What is Pow#R?
The power number rating (Pow#R) is a mathematical formula using a team's weighted wins (wW) -- Σ(# of wins vs. opponent * (1 + opponents wining %)] --, weighted losses (wL) -- Σ(# of losses vs. opponent * (2 - opponents winning %) --, record over the last five (L5) games, and run differential (DIFF) divided by games played (GP). The equation looks like this:    Pow#R = (wW - wL) + (L5) + (DIFF/GP)
